Direct answer: a concrete pump inspection checklist should document checks before start-up, observations during pumping, and a safe cleaning and defect review after the pour. A daily concrete pump truck checklist is not a universal replacement schedule. Fluid grades, pressures, wear limits, lubrication points, service intervals and repair methods must come from the operating instructions for the exact model and serial number.
Safety boundary: only trained and qualified personnel should maintain the machine. Before opening a delivery line or starting repair work, follow the manufacturer-approved shutdown and depressurisation procedure, prevent unintended restart, secure the truck against movement and keep people outside the work and danger zones.

Daily checklist by stage
| Stage | What to verify | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Before start-up | Correct machine manual and identity; guards and safety devices; visible leaks or damage; boom, supports, delivery lines, couplings, hoses, tyres, lights and fluid levels using the exact OEM criteria. | Date, meter reading, operator, photos where useful, defects and the person responsible for release. |
| During pumping | Warnings, abnormal noise or movement, new leakage, delivery-line condition, support stability and changes at the work site. | Alarm or symptom, time, operating condition and whether work was stopped. |
| After pumping | Manufacturer-approved cleaning and washout; damage found during cleaning; lubrication required by the exact manual; covers, guards and safety equipment restored. | Cleaning method, defects found, parts requested and close-out status. |
Concrete pump fleet maintenance records
For fleet maintenance, use the same component groups and evidence fields on every concrete pump: chassis and engine, outriggers, boom and turret, pumping unit, delivery line and couplings, hydraulics, electrical controls and safety devices. Record the exact machine identity, meter reading, inspection date, finding, photo or measurement, action taken, replacement part and close-out status. This creates a comparable component history without replacing the service limits or procedures in the model-specific manual.
Stop and escalate these findings
- A damaged, leaking or insecure delivery line, coupling or hydraulic hose.
- A safety device, guard, emergency control or warning system that is missing or unavailable.
- Unexpected boom, support-leg or vehicle movement, visible structural damage or unstable supporting ground.
- A fault that requires a pressure, software, welding, structural or chassis intervention outside the operator’s authorised scope.
Do not turn this list into a pass certificate. A daily check records visible condition and operating observations; it does not prove remaining component life, structural integrity or compliance with every manufacturer inspection interval.
What the official safety source says
The Putzmeister Safety Manual for concrete delivery and placing machines requires authorised personnel to read the operating instructions before work, says maintenance intervals and part replacements must follow the machine operating instructions, and states that maintenance work must be carried out by qualified personnel. It also warns against opening pressurised delivery lines and describes securing a shut-down machine against unintended restart. Use it as a general safety reference, not as the model-specific service manual for a SANY, Zoomlion, XCMG or other machine.
Apply the checklist before choosing a used pump truck
Use the concrete pump truck buyer guide to define the required machine type and reach, compare concrete pump truck price and delivered-cost factors, and review the SANY, Zoomlion and XCMG comparison. Then apply this checklist to the exact shortlisted unit and request machine-specific evidence. For a SANY purchase, use our SANY pre-export inspection guide to discuss the selected machine, inspection scope and export preparation.
Parts and machine-specific help
For a parts enquiry, send the brand, model, serial number, part number, dimensions and clear photos. Browse concrete pump spare-part references, review concrete pump types, or compare the used pump-truck catalog.
