Choosing used construction machinery starts with the job it needs to do. From selecting the right model to arranging inspection and shipment, clear information helps buyers compare equipment and plan their purchase.
These were the conversations Hunan Mecha Brothers Technology Co., Ltd. — Mechabro — brought to Morocco in June 2026, when our team travelled from Changsha for the China–Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Africa (Morocco) and the China (Hunan)–Morocco Industry Promotion and Finance and Investment Cooperation Meeting.

The exhibition gave our team an opportunity to present our work in used construction machinery and concrete equipment. More importantly, it created direct conversations about the practical decisions behind an international equipment purchase: what the machine must do, how its condition will be verified, what it will cost to put it to work, and what information must be agreed before shipment.
For buyers comparing equipment, start with Mechabro’s concrete pump truck buyer guide and used concrete pump trucks for sale. Choose a listing and contact our team for its specifications, inspection details and a quotation for your destination.
For contractors, fleet owners and equipment traders sourcing machinery from China, four questions help organize the purchase:
- Which machine suits the project and site access?
- What should the equipment inspection cover?
- What is included in the purchase and delivery cost?
- How will the order move from inquiry to shipment?
1. What job must the machine perform?
A buyer may begin with a brand or boom length in mind, but the project should come first.
For a truck-mounted concrete pump, for example, useful information includes the required vertical and horizontal reach, expected concrete output, site access, road conditions, working height, preferred chassis, local fuel quality, parts availability and operator experience. A machine that is suitable for an urban building project may not be the right choice for a remote infrastructure site.
Destination-country requirements matter as well. Vehicle age limits, axle loads, emissions rules, import eligibility and registration procedures can affect whether a unit is practical to purchase. These requirements vary by market and should be checked with the buyer’s local customs broker or relevant authority before a deposit is paid.
The first step, therefore, is not “Which machine do you have?” It is “What must the machine achieve on site?”
2. What should you check on a used machine?
Compare the machine’s specifications, photographs and operating details alongside the intended job. A practical inspection looks at both the pumping system and the truck chassis.
Discuss the following items with our team when reviewing a machine:
- Brand, model, production year, boom length and chassis configuration
- Recent exterior, chassis, cab and undercarriage photographs
- Operating hours and meter readings, where recorded
- Cold-start and function-test videos
- Close views of structural areas, boom sections, pins, welds and outriggers
- Hydraulic-system checks for leakage, hose condition and operating response
- A clear description of known repairs, refurbishment work and replaced wear parts
- An independent inspection option when required by the buyer
Agree the inspection scope for the selected machine before purchase. Our team can discuss its configuration, the checks required for your project and any preparation to include in the quotation.
For a detailed starting framework, see Mechabro’s used concrete pump truck export checklist.
3. What will it cost to put the machine to work?
The equipment price is only one part of the decision. A realistic comparison considers the cost and work required from the seller’s yard to the buyer’s job site.
That may include inland transport in China, port handling, ocean freight, marine insurance, import duties and taxes, destination handling, local inland transport, inspection or conformity steps, initial maintenance and a starter package of wear parts. The relevant items depend on the machine, shipping route, trade terms and destination-country rules.
Shipping method also needs to be chosen for the actual unit. RoRo, bulk cargo and flat-rack transport each have different constraints, and availability varies by port and carrier. Dimensions, operating weight, detachable components and safe securing arrangements should be confirmed before freight is treated as final.
A lower purchase price does not automatically mean a lower delivered cost. Buyers need a comparison that makes inclusions, exclusions and assumptions visible.
Mechabro’s concrete pump truck price guide explains the main variables buyers should compare before treating two quotations as equivalent.
4. What happens between the inquiry and the shipment?
Good international procurement is a sequence, not a single quotation.
A practical process normally moves through requirement confirmation, machine shortlisting, specification and photo review, technical questions, inspection arrangements, commercial agreement, payment milestones, export preparation and pre-shipment documentation. Before the machine leaves, both sides should know which unit is being supplied, its agreed condition, what work or accessories are included, how it will be transported, and which documents will be provided.
Written clarity at these stages protects both buyer and seller. It also makes it easier to identify a problem early, when it can still be resolved without disrupting a project schedule.

What we brought back from Morocco
Meeting buyers face to face helped us focus on the decisions that matter most: selecting suitable equipment, planning the inspection and agreeing a workable delivery schedule.
We start with the buyer’s project, discuss the selected machine’s configuration and explain the available shipping options. Destination-specific import and registration questions should be discussed with the buyer’s local broker or relevant authority as part of that planning.
For Mechabro, the value of the Morocco visit was not limited to displaying equipment. It was the opportunity to understand how buyers describe their projects, where uncertainty enters the purchasing process, and how a China-based machinery team can communicate more usefully across that distance.
